How it started
Hi, my name is Lori. Shortly after we had our first child, Lily, we moved to a new town. I was a new mom in a new town and found myself without many established relationships. I began
Googling answers to many of the questions I had about motherhood: potty training tips, disciplining, maintaining a strong Godly marriage while sleep deprived, what will adding
children do, how do I cook for a picky eater, etc. My heart longed for the relationships we see pictured in the Bible in Titus 2:3-5 - older women teaching and encouraging younger women.Yet, it seemed that we were all “too busy” for those relationships to naturally form. As we added kids to our tribe, summer became my favorite season. The warm sunny days lent themselves to gatherings at pools or parks. I could ask questions to my peers or to those older than me, instead of asking Google. And this got me thinking... What if all these amazing Godly women could gather in the same space? What if we could simply sit, listen and learn from each other’s experiences with motherhood, marriage and so much more. How amazing and helpful would that be?

Who has the time?
After attending various women's events, some at our local church and some elsewhere, I began to notice that certain demographics of women were missing. Why? They were
busy with kids. We live in such a kid-driven society, and it’s often difficult for women to find time for fellowship/community. I began to realize that I needed to create a space for women and their kids to attend together. Perhaps BOTH could gain something from the experience!
The call on our lives
As my first-born daughter was falling in love with princesses (and let's be honest - I was too all over again), it seemed like a natural time to teach her about the ONE TRUE KING. I wanted to teach her about our Heavenly King and about how we can be princesses as well. I realized that not only did my daughter need to know this, but so did
her friends (and their moms).
And that was it - I realized we could combine the love of princesses and our need for Godly relationships/mentorships into one! The Princess Party was born out of this desire to connect, teach and encourage one another in Godly fellowship and community. Monroe E-Free Church has been blessed with an amazing facility where we can teach and play with the girls, while women can listen and learn from others through various speaker panels covering a wide variety of current topics and issues.
