Our next event can not take place without help from you !

An event like this could not take place without people willing to be a part of it!  If you would like to help ensure that this event happens again, please consider helping in one of the areas below.

Panel Speakers
We ALL have a story to tell.  Are you willing to share yours?  Whether you are single, newly married, seasoned in life, YOU have a story.   Panel speakers simply share parts of their lives to encourage and challenge others in a God-honoring way.  They know that they don't have it all together, but they “have been there” on a wide range of topics and are willing to be open about what has and hasn't worked.  You have no doubt dealt with a variety of things: friendships, relationships, death, infertility, single parenting, traveling spouse, role reversals, working mom, stay at home mom, etc. or have had unique experiences with the following: kids who are adopted, spirited, shy, outgoing, popular, outcast, a bully, a victim, gay, depressed, disabled, over-achiever, the loss of a child and you may even have kids who attend different schools: home, private, public.  Again, we know you are not experts and that every situation is different, but are you willing to share what you have learned and how you are still learning?  If so, we'd love to hear more!

Childcare
We LOVE being able to offer this service to moms who want to attend but have little ones they may not know what to do with if this option isn't provided.  Not only is this service SO VALUABLE to those attending, but it is also incredibly helpful to those families who are also helping during the event.  Ideally we prefer 4 adults minimum and youth kids taking turns in hour shifts.
 

Crafts

This is an opportunity for girls to flex their artistic abilities with guidance from you.  Please know that you don't have to be a "Pinterest Pro" to help in this area.  We hunt for crafts that girls as young as 3 can create.  We simply need willing adults to help the young ones and provide supervision for the older ones.  However, if you really enjoy crafts and are eager to take the lead in this area by helping find and create the crafts matching the princess theme for this session, then please don't let us stop you!  This session lasts about 40 minutes per group.

 

Dancing

Do you enjoy dancing and/or choreography?  If so, we would LOVE your help in preparing a couple short dances for the girls to participate in and then demonstrate for those attending.  This session lasts about 40 minutes per group.

Jazzercise

By far one of the girl's favorite things to do at this event, and how great right?  Dancing and exercise all wrapped up into a short 30-40 minute session with some of Disney's best songs!  Create your own fun playlist and show the girls that exercising is a lot of fun!

 

 


 

Food

Looking for individuals who love to take "food" to the next level with creative ideas on how to incorporate the theme into the LIGHT meal provided (ideally only finger foods too).  Maybe you aren't creative with food and that's ok too!  We also need individuals willing to follow instructions to help prepare the food as well as set it out and restock it as guests go through the buffet lines.

Photography

Photographers are artists with the camera!  We look for 3 different photographers to capture all areas of this event.  1 - Photographer of Decor: This person takes pictures of the event so that we may properly show and thank the many donors for our event.  2 - Photographer of People:  Because this is a family event, we want the entire family in the pictures . . . not just mom behind the camera (again).  So this person not only will take family pictures upon arrival, but captures all sorts of candid photos throughout the event that will be shared with everyone.  3 - Photo Booth:  What is not to LOVE about dressing up in a photo booth and having instant photos to put in one's room or on the fridge.  If you think you are able to provide any one of those three services for our event, we would LOVE to work with you!

Sound Crew

We know that women can't be everywhere at once, so our goal is to record all the sessions so they can be listened to by those who attended who were in a different panel as well as those who were unable to come but also crave the wisdom of our panel speakers.  If you know how to run a sound board and/or willing to learn, we are looking for 3 different individuals to be in charge of the sound in the gym, youth room, and sanctuary.

Decorating

It is often in the little details that takes a good event to great and magical event, which is exactly what we hope to do  . . . and on a tight budget might I add!  Whether you want to bring your own ideas to life or simply want to show up and help create the ideas of another person, you are needed!  Most of this work is done primarily the Thursday and Friday prior to the event on Saturday and likely a day or two after the event sorting and putting it all away.

Prayer Support

Would you join with us in praying for this event? 

Prayer Requests:  1 - A date would be clear of conflicts for a majority of people.  2 - Those willing to help in whatever capacity would commit in the early fall.  3 - Those attending that they would be encouraged and most importantly that they would know Jesus Christ as their Savior!  4 - Our panel speakers that God would calm any public speaking fears.  5 - The many serving in various capacities - that they would see their acts of service as true Kingdom Work!  6 - That God would put a hedge of protection around all those involved in the planning of this event - that they would not be discouraged and that plans would go smoothly. 

Prayers of Thanksgiving:  1 - Lives saved!  2 - For the past 2 events and just how impactful they have been in the lives of many.  3 - The friendships that have begun and blossomed due to this event.  4 - The overall smoothness of the past events.  5 - People willing to help, not only locally but those across our country as well.  

Material Donations

Once the theme is narrowed down and decorations, food, & craft planning has begun, there will be odds and ends requested to help enhance the event on the tight budget given.   If you think you have a way to help, please let us know!

Financial Support

While Monroe E-Free Church has generously allotted for this event in their budget, it simply cannot cover all the extra details that go into making this event as magical as it has been the past couple years.  In the past, a large majority of this event has been donated through various individuals and companies which has greatly aided in its overall success.

I cannot say THANK YOU enough for being the hands and feet of Christ!  Each year it takes roughly 70 people to pull off the event that changes lives not only locally, but even in a few other states as they have reached out to our various panel speakers!  WOW right?  God has also generously blessed this event through donations from all over our country!  Not only have these people been willing to give of their money and/or products, but they have each expressed an excitement over this idea - an appreciation for what each of you are doing - and an excitement to participate in the future as well.  So again, THANK YOU!
